But what are robots?

But the first robot in history as we know them today was Elektro, created by engineer Joseph Barnett in 1939. He was able to make 30 different movements and pronounce about 700 words.
Almost a century later, in 2000, Asimo (named after Asimov) would arrive, a humanoid robot created by the Japanese company Honda. He was able to walk, run, go down stairs, and even play football. He could also engage in simple sign language conversations with humans.

The most famous of all is undoubtedly the Curiosity, a robot that has been researching this red planet for several years on Mars. Human beings may not yet have reached Mars, but the robots have already done so.
